Welcome to Urmston Hockey Club's Homepage

Urmston Hockey Club run 5 mens teams and Badgers and Beavers for boys. There are 3 ladies teams. These are all 11-a-side teams.

Badgers are U.16 11-a-side with up to 4 adults. Beavers are U13 11-a-side also with up to 4 adults. There are also 7 a side junior boys teams at U11, U13 and U15 and girls at U11 and U13 age groups playing in the Sunday Lancashire League.

The 5 mens teams represent the club in the North West Manchester Hockey League.
The mens 1st and 2nd teams and Boys U15 and U18 enter the National Cup tournaments and the Mens 1st team also enter the Lancashire County Cup.

The 3 ladies teams represent the club in the Greater Manchester League.

There is also a mixed section that plays occasional 11 a side games and during the summer enters along with Mens and Badgers into the Manchester Summer 7 a side League. The club also enters various local competitions and tournaments and goes on tour at May Day Holiday to the North Staffordshire Tournament, at Spring Bank Holiday to the Isle Of Man Tournament and at August Bank Holiday to the Cannock Hockey Tournament.

Juniors meet every Saturday morning at the club throughout the year and receive coaching from senior members of the club. During the winter months there are various competitions with many juniors going on to represent Lancashire, the North West Region and National teams.
